POROSIS offers us a reading on the work of the new figure of the Porto School, after Eduardo Souto Moura and Álvaro Siza. The singularity of the work of the architect Nuno Brandão Costa is revealed in a very particular attention to the plasticity of the primary elements of construction. Through new materials and techniques, his work seems to achieve the clarity of traditional Portuguese architecture. Over the course of a few months, André Cepeda photographed an extensive set of works by Nuno Brandão Costa, from among the oldest to those under construction. Not being a strictly documentary journey, this book is a testimony of contemporary Portuguese architecture, through the amazing work of this architect. The images, by one of the most recognized Portuguese photographers, challenge the very limits of an architecture monograph.
